About us

A small crew who know these roads

IAMIN AFRICA LTD is a Rwandan tour operator running guided journeys through Rwanda and across the border into Tanzania. We are not a booking agency — we drive our own vehicles, we know the park wardens by name, and the guide who meets you at the airport is the one who stays with you to the last day.

Rwanda packs an improbable amount into a country you can cross in a day. Mountain gorillas and golden monkeys in the bamboo of the Virungas, the big five on the savannah at Akagera, chimpanzees in the Nyungwe canopy, and Lake Kivu in between. We build itineraries that move at a human pace rather than racing you between lodges.

For travellers with more time, we run the overland route east into Tanzania — down to Kigoma and the old lake steamer on Lake Tanganyika, through the carving villages and the highland roads. It is a long drive, and it is the best part of the trip.
